CHECKLIST
HFG-SG complies with the Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs issued by the Commissioner of Charities. We submit our Governance Evaluation Checklist (GEC) annually, and are committed to upholding high standards of transparency, accountability, and integrity.
Please refer here for more information.
As part of our commitment to transparency, our Annual Reports are available below. These reports provide details of our activities, financial stewardship, and programme impact.
1. Code of Conduct Policy
This Code of Conduct Policy sets out the expected standards of behaviour for everyone involved in our organisation. It offers clear guidance on how to report concerns about misconduct or unethical conduct. By following this policy, we ensure that all individuals are treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. Read the Code of Conduct Policy here.
2. Conflict of Interest Policy
HFG-SG requires all Board members and staff to declare any personal or professional interest that may influence their decision-making. Where a conflict of interest arises, the individual will abstain from voting or decision-making on the matter. This ensures integrity, accountability, and transparency in all our operations.
3. Safeguarding Policy
We are committed to providing a safe environment for foster parents, foster children, volunteers, and staff. This is guided by HFG-SG Safeguarding Policy.
4. Whistleblowing Policy
HFG-SG recognises the importance of whistleblowing in identifying and addressing any potential wrongdoing or malpractice within our Charity. We are committed to providing a safe and confidential means of raising concerns without fear of reprisal. Any concerns can be reported to HFG-SG’s Audit Committee at audit@hfg.org.sg. If the concern is regarding the Audit Committee and/or its members, it can be directed to the Chairperson of the Board at joseph.gan@hfg.org.sg. Read the Whistleblowing Policy here.
5. Personal Data Protection Act External Policy
HFG-SG respects and protects your personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2012. Read the Personal Data Protection Act External Policy here.
6. Reserves Policy
HFG-SG maintains reserves to ensure the financial stability and sustainability of our programmes. Our policy is to hold reserves equivalent to one year of operating expenditure. This enables us to continue providing uninterrupted support to children and families even in times of funding uncertainty.
