A FAMILY FOR
FOSTER FAMILIES
Home for Good, Singapore (HFG-SG) was established in 2013 by four Christian foster parents who believe every child deserves to be raised in a loving and secure family environment. Since its inception, the group has expanded its network in a concerted effort to provide support and resources for foster parents and recruit new foster parents. On 28 February 2023, HFG-SG was officially registered as a charity, further formalising its role as a support network for foster parents. HFG-SG was granted Institutions of a Public Character (IPC) status in November 2024.
As a charitable entity in Singapore, HFG-SG serves all foster parents, irrespective of their religious beliefs or backgrounds. HFG-SG collaborates with numerous partners, including foster parents, befrienders, respite caregivers, volunteers, appointed fostering agencies, the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), and other like-minded community organisations to champion fostering and adoption in Singapore.

About our Logo
The Home for Good Singapore (HFG-SG) logo shows how foster families can create loving environments simply by opening their hearts and their homes to children in need. Beyond that, the motif of a home also represents HFG-SG’s mission to be a family for foster families and provide them with a safe space to learn and ask for support.
Vision
A loving family for every child in need.
Mission
Make fostering and adoption a core ministry in the community.
Raise more foster parents to meet the needs of children and youths in out-of-home care.
Support families with children and youths in out-of-home care to eventually reunify these children and youths with their families; and
Support and resource foster parents.

Support
HFG-SG has over 270 members supporting each other in our fostering journey. We share tips, resources and support in peer groups.
We have smaller peer support groups for specialised topics: children with special needs, adoption, buddies, informal fostering, respite carers and volunteers.

Advocate
As an advocate for the needs of vulnerable children and youths, we champion fostering through co-hosting fostering information sessions in partnership with fostering agencies: Boys’ Town Fostering Services, Epworth Foster Care, Gracehaven Fostering, Muhammadiyah Association and PPIS Oasis.
We speak to the media, corporations, and at community events to raise awareness of fostering and befriending families-in-need.
We also assist in finding foster families for children from partner agencies like Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), and Child Protection Specialist Centres when needed.

Inform
With a large network of members, foster parents do not have to feel alone in their fostering journey. We want to empower foster parents with the knowledge and collective wisdom of HFG-SG members.
By being a curator of stories and tips from foster parents and volunteers, we aspire to be an information resource to encourage other foster parents to share their journey openly.
PARTNERS
We work with partners to support and strengthen the foster system in Singapore.
PEER SERVICES
We partner with the following movements to enhance the lives of foster families and vulnerable youths who have aged out-of-care, so that there are more resources available to support those who need it most.
